Next we went to Las Vegas to spend a week recovering from our time in the National Parks.
We spent most of our time at the pool visiting the "strip" only two times and made a trip to Valley of Fire State Park.  We took two hikes here.

The last stop in Utah was White Pocket.  This is the location one visits when they try and try but do not get selected in the lottery to visit "the wave".  Jamie and I took a tour so that we did not have to drive 20 miles on a sand road.

The rock formations were pretty cool

Buckskin Gulch - was somewhat like Antelope Canyon but not nearly as crowded.

Bryce Canyon National Park - is filled with Hoodoos.  Large rock formations rising up out of the canyon.

Hiking trail down into the canyon.  It was very cool to hike past and sometimes through the Hoodoos

There was snow even in May

We spent a week in Kanab Utah visiting Zion and Bryce National Parks, as well as White Pocket in the Vermilion Cliffs BLM area and then hiked Buckskin Gulch.

Zion we shot at Sunrise and then hiked the Virgin Narrows walking mostly in water.

In Page Arizona we took Photography tours of both Upper and Lower Antelope Slot Canyons.  These canyons are sculpted out of sandstone by wind, water and time.
At just the right time of day sunbeams filter down through openings in the canyons.

This image shows the path through the canyon.

Light reflecting off the walls create the colors.

Next we stopped at Monument Valley
This was the location for many western movies and TV shows - John Wayne is a local staple here.
